Pinkwashing With the Colonel

April 24, 2010

Gross!  Have you seen the pink “Buckets for the Cure” that KFC is marketing now for Susan G. Kormen for the Cure?  Read more about this outrageous thing (here).  Unbelievable.

I’m so glad that I’m not alone in outrage… go visit Jill’s Blah Blah Blog and read her take on this.

I cannot tell you the depths of despair that I experience every time I get even close to the lies of Race for the Cure.  Cure would be bad for business, and cancer is very big business.  Not a word out of them about prevention or detoxification. hmmm…..

It drives me crazy every time I hear someone say that getting a mammogram is “taking care of myself”… insert sound of me screaming  here.  Repeat after me…mammograms are not breast cancer prevention.  Having your breasts irradiated every year, and for some, twice a year, is unbelievably bad news for healthy breasts, and who in this age, with all the phytoestrogens and pharmaceuticals in the water and electromagnetic smog that we live with in our present environment, has healthy breasts?  Taking care of yourself is shielding yourself from those influences as much as possible, cleaning up your diet, optimizing Vitamin D levels, assisting your body in getting the poisons out, and getting safe cancer screening, like thermography.

Oh yeah, and not buying pink stuff!  Especially not fried chicken containing  MSG and other poisons in pink buckets!  Spend that money on some really good Vitamin D.   Would ya?   please?

KFC (and most large multinational corporations) just love to jump on the bandwagon, whatever the subject or ‘issue’. Quite sad, really.

This is hilarious because I JUST saw “Pink” bottles of wine at the grocery store…forget msg filled fried chicken…lets all just become alcoholics! I agree with you though…a cure would be bad for business, the FDA likes to keep us popping pills to stay alive…
