Birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday.  It has been a really wonderful couple of days…. Tim is the most wonderful husband in the world!  In the morning he gave me a gift of yarn for the next adventure in knitting…. the leaf scarf.

It’s an organic merino.  The brand is Sublime… and I have to say that it is!  Very soft and I can’t wait to begin the scarf for real… yesterday afternoon I sat and knitted 8 rows in another yarn, just for practice.  It requires reading a chart pattern… so far so good… I’ll cast it on this Wednesday and begin.  The pattern is so difficult that I will only be able to do it at home…If there are any distractions, I’m done!

I knew that there was something going on in the evening… just not what…I thought that we were going out for dinner together, and maybe see a couple of friends….. well… Sophie and Gail picked me up and Tim sent me out with them!  They brought me to Che’s house… Che is a raw food chef…swoon…There were seven of us there….All my women friends and Even Karen and Angela, who made the trek in through 14 inches of snow…

Dinner was amazing… I have a picture of dessert… raw cheesecake…amazing!

I have a few other pictures in my email and have to figure out how to get them into the blog…

We all had a wonderful time!

Sounds and looks scrumptious. Wonder what “raw” cheesecake is? Sounds like a great party. No surprise to me that Tim would have planned something special for you.

You’ll get a silly e-card from American Greetings. I’m sorry to miss the date, but birthdays should go on for a while.

Did you see that our week at BCF is filled? Interesting, as the program is not the most popular fare. I hope that means a lot of good singers. Armstrong is bringing the St. Olaf choir to NYC soon. Wish I could go down and hear him perform. Soon enough, I guess.

Hi Bob! Thanks for the ecard! I’ve been singing it for the rest of the day… and many more days to come! I had a good laugh today with it… Thanks! Perfect!
I don’t remember what is in the cheesecake… I do remember that the crust is nuts and coconut oil (at least).
I sure do hope that there are lots of good singers when we are there… I’m really looking forward to it !
