We are Home!

August 15, 2007

Whew! Two days of driving and I am pooped! The drive went very well. A little rough getting out of Chicago and then after that smooth all the way. We drove to Medina, Ohio to stay with Scott and Angela last night. Many thanks to them for food and a bed, and very nice company! All in all we put about 2,400 miles on the car in the past few weeks. Time for another oil change.

Tim enjoyed the last slice of Chicago Deep Dish Pizza yesterday. Heated it up on the dashboard of the car as we drove along. Duane had brought a Vernor’s to Tim on the way out and it went well with the pizza yesterday.

Time for some rest.  Will be back online tomorrow.

I second that! We still have to watch a funny movie together. You left a big hole. Glad you’re back.

We’re so glad your journey home was a good one! It was sad to say goodbye to both of you. We miss you!

It is great to hear you made it home without too much hassle. I was hoping to make a trip to Scott and Angela’s before you left, but it was not meant to be. Roy did well while I was in Colorado. Duane is a super caregiver. Carol and Kerrigan and Colleen were at our house some, too, to help out. I’ll get a summary of my trip out to you, soon, I promise. Love, Karen
