Made it to Seattle

June 3, 2007

I’m here in Seattle! My room is (almost) ready. It is around 4pm east coast time.

The concert last night was really good. We sang well. The audience loved it. Boy, what a lot of music, and it was great. I always have an earworm for a couple of weeks after concerts and there are a few choruses playing in my head. Did not get very much sleep last night. Got home around 11:45 and to bed by 12:30. Up at 4:45 and awake before then (Bach again).

I’m not going to write much now because I’m about to fall over to sleep. Got to get some supper (lunch?) and get some rest.

    Hi Liz

We have been thinking about you and reading your blog daily. The PET scan being negative, thats a good thing right?

How is the juicing going? did you ever find anything about the vitamin c treatments? With all the holistic information I read it seems that you are on the right track. Keep listening to that gut!!

    Glad your happy in Seattle!

Praise God for the negative PET/CT scan! I’m glad to hear that you are seeing hope and feeling encouraged. Enjoy the singing. A cheerful heart is also good medicine….. That’s in the Good Book somewhere…Psalms, I think…or maybe Proverbs. I’m so glad that you have been able to continue with your singing.

Liz, I read the blog about once a week. Ann and I are praying together once a week for you. Of course, we are also praying separately on our own. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Yeah… the negative PET Scan is really good news! I am still reading about the treatments which interest me. I will post about them soon. I’m trying to absorb them and reading them now. It is giving me hope.
Angela, I did find stuff on Vitamin C. In fact, I think Tim googled Vitamin C and got a ton of stuff. He sent a lot to me and I’ve not come close to reading it. I still need to figure out how to post a link on this thing! I know it is possible…..When I do I will put up links for all who want to read.
The juicing is going well. A helpful hint…do the beets first! Otherwise everything is red! While I’m away, I have a product called Juice Plus. capsules of Veggie and fruit juice powders to supplement my diet.

Liz — wanted to make a belated post about the concert. It was truly enjoyable—from both seats I tried; you remember that my friend and I moved to a different section after the intermission since we couldn’t hear the soloists very well.

But I think I preferred the first half with seats in the “Grand Promenade Tier”—ha—right above and a bit behind the choir. That gave us a great view of the singers—you certainly looked like you were enjoying yourself—and made it easier to pick out who was singing, and which instruments were playing at a given point.

More, it made me remember when I was playing Bach in college. You were able to “feel” the movement of a theme among the sections when you were participating in an ensemble; this was the first time since then I was able to have a similar experience, watching and hearing you and the choir, as you could see, hear, and feel the words moving back and forth. It was just wonderful.

My only regret is that they didn’t allow photos—I had brought my camera and the light was perfect. Oh well. My friend also found it a great intro to live baroque music and he’ll be back.

I’m glad I went, and glad you sang. Et Resurrexit!

Peter, I’m so glad you enjoyed the music. We sing more Bach next year!
    Et Resurrexit, indeed!
