    Dear Liz,

I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. But I know if anyone can get through this ordeal with flying colors and a glowing spirit, it’s YOU! You’re one of the strongest, most powerful people I know and I have no doubt you’ll manifest perfect health in no time at all! Please know that you’ll be in my thoughts, prayers and healining intentions through the whole process!

    Love,
    Margarita 🙂

    Liz,

We are praying, too. You are being prayed for by The Falls Church. I encourage you to come for healing prayer as often as you can. A generational healing service is coming May 6 at 7 p.m. in the historic church. God is good.

    Liz,

You have been put on the prayer list at the Ascension Lutheran Church in NB. You are a strong, beautiful woman that always finds a way to hurdle any obstacle. The power of intention and love are stronger than any disease. The effect of being held in the presence and prayers of those around you will see you through….feel the power and feed off the strength of those that love you! Inspiration is derived from being “in spirit”, may GOD bless you and keep you inspired!

    Love ya, Joyce

Liz, you are especially in our prayers today as you undergo surgery. We are praying that the surgeons are able to get all of the cancer and they find nothing in the lymph nodes. We are also praying for wisdom for the doctors and nurses that attend you, but we are also especially praying for Tim as well. For I remember well the anxiety when my Mom went through this surgery over a year ago. However, I also remember being covered in prayer and the comfort the Lord gave. There is no doubt that you are being blanketed in prayer today from all over the world it seems, so we are expecting good news. Please let Peter and I know what we can do to help. You have our contact information. Call us anytime, day or night. Love, Peter and Chandra

    Dear Liz,

My mother had a surgery at Sibley and was very pleased
with the staff there. I pray for a similar experience for you today nad mostly for a strong sense of God’s comforting presence.

There was prayer for you yesterday at The Falls Church — perhaps you heard it. So many people love you and Tim and
are knocking on heaven’s door re: your surgery today.

My home number has changed to 703-641-0139 but office
is still generally a good place to find me: 703-770-8645.

Praying for the Lord to guide the surgeon’s hands and for
    an incredible result.

with much love and a hug,

    Hi Sweetie!

I have been saying misheberachs for you, prayers for healing of body and spirit, in synogogue since we spoke a few weeks ago. I will continue to do so. I love you very much.
You’ve made it through surgery! I’m proud of you and Tim, though he and I have never met.
Now comes healing and doing your arm exercises once you can.
Now comes letting people take care of you while they love you up.
Now comes rest and sessions and just a few more minor decisions.
    You remain in my prayers.
A GREAT book to have is “Uplift” by Barbara Delinsky.
    I love you.
Cancer will not always be on your mind as it is now.

    Dearest Liz and Tim,

I am reading comments from your prayer warriors and can only add mine to theirs as we lift you both to our sovereign and faithful God for His healing protection and recovery of your body and spirit. We love you both and are privileged to be on your team today. Do ask for our help as we desire to serve you in this time of needing “a little help from your friends”. I am asking that you be not anxious, casting all your cares on Him as you trust in His sacrificing love for you and His purpose for your life. Every blessing, Carol J

    Liz & Tim —
I am praying and praying and taking in the warm sunny days. I know there is a reason we met – so much chance was involved, it had to have a higher purpose. Remember how I told you both before you met David that he didn’t say much & wasn’t a very social creature? Remember how wrong I was?! He talked and told jokes and had a great time with you — obviously quite as at-home with you both as I am.

Well, I don’t think you know that David has had several skin cancers removed — up until now, of little consequence. Next Weds. — we hope — he will get a more serious one removed. It’s on his upper arm, so I read your posts on the pump with particular interest. He has had a delay in getting this surgery scheduled due to other infections . . . or maybe so you would get thru your surgery first. Anyhow, Tim, I trust that Liz’s indominable spirit will visit David. When he wrestles with the pump, I’ll tell him Liz conquered it.

And one summer or fall day, the four of us will be enjoying a sunset on beautiful Lake Erie (or somewhere!)– I’m not kidding! In the meantime, I do all the praying in our house (it’s a fair division — David does all the self-denial), and I am praying for all four of us a whole lot! I will be thinking about you especially over the next several days as you sort through all the questions and information and options — I know you are feeling challenged. At the same time, knowing you both gives me strength. Love and prayers and cheers to you both — Pat

Franklin Circle Christian Church has you both on our prayer list. We are all praying for you weekly and during the Pastoral Prayer during the Service, our Pastor includes you. I am praying for hope, for healing, for a complete cure and for strength. I also pray that you are able to help each other on your bad days. Often Randy and I are lucky to not share bummer days, so that when I am down, he can encourage, listen, etc. and vise versa. Should you have specific prayer requests, or want me to do positive imaging (ie picturing the cancer in my mind and visualize it being destroyed) I would be happy to do so. Give me some specifics, as this helps.

How ’bout those indians??! Tim and I were at the game on Saturday night at RFK. Bottom of the 9th, last out, bases loaded…everybody in the stadium on their feet…
Our boys did a great double play and the Washington National fans were stunned that they lost. Cleveland fans were giving us high fives all the way out. Big fun.

Hey Liz (and Tim) I guess hello to all is probably more appropriate 🙂

You know being a METS fan, I won’t comment on Cleveland, however I do have 2 extra tickets for the METS vs. Phillies in PA on Saturday at 3:55pm. Hmmmm, I know you’re busy and tired but if you and Tim are interested, you know my motto “U Call and I’ll haul”. I think a tri-state jaunt would be interesting. Here’s the disclaimer, sitting next to me in Philly, wearing METS garb and yelling…well, you get the picture. I’ll guess there is no need to buy food, since a barrage of it is likely to come my way. All kidding aside, please let me know if you and Tim are interested in being kidnapped for a few hours…anyday, anytime, anywhere.

Do you know the difference in communicating and seeing you now vs. 20+ years ago? It is the strong, self-assured, woman filled with calm resolve. I love it and you. Looking forward to meeting Tim and everyone else that has posted. After you complete the trials, tribulations, soul searching, news that you are Cancer Free, etc…we need to get ALL of us together and have the biggest “group hug” party. Reading the blog…I’ll guess everyone would be game…you should be lifted up by all the LOVE and LIGHT that surrounds you. Goodnight Liz! Love ya, Joyce
